Safety Management

We have committed the resources necessary to train our employees, making them aware of potential hazards and equipping them with the safety equipment necessary to complete each job safely.

We are committed to educating our employees through an ongoing safety program, through tank cleaning training program, construction safety training and annual refresher courses to keep our employees updated to the latest development in our industry as well as new OSHA/WSO requirements.

Our team supervisors are trained in first aid and CPR and have completed both the OSHA/WSO required 40-hour worker personal protection and safety course and the 8-hour supervisor’s course. In addition, Midwestern has a drug and alcohol testing program for its employees that meets the DOT requirements.

The team supervisor will coordinate with you on any special safety or regulatory requirements of your company. We want to know our customer’s safety requirements and meet or exceed them.

It is our Policy:
  • To have a systematic approach to HSSE / SPSA management design to ensure compliance with the law and to achieve continuous performance improvement.
  • To set targets for improvement and measure, appraise and report performance.
  • To require employees to manage HSSE / SPSA in line with this policy.
  • To include HSSE / SPSA performance in the appraisal of all employees and reward accordingly.
ECCDI’s Objective in promoting HSSE:

In accordance with the HSSE / SPSA Commitment and Policy of the E.C. Calderon Construction Development Inc.,

it is the policy of E.C. Calderon Construction Engineering Management to conduct its activities with high consideration to the health, safety and security of its own employees, contractors and customers and to safeguard the environment.The objective is to be among the leaders in the industry based upon this aspect of business.

ECCDI pursues this policy with its strategies and action plans, the visible commitment of the entire organization adequate training programs and the valuable contribution of its contractors. One of the more important visible aspects of this policy is the total compliance with all relevant HSSE / SPSA regulations.

Health ECCDI conducts its activities in a manner that preserves the health of all concerned avoiding health damage to to personnel, contractors and third parties. To achieve this goal, ECCDI shall implement the 7 Minimun Health Requirements of the East Zone.

Safety & Security ECCDI shall follow the principle that all incidents can be prevented, ECCDI promotes high standards of safety and security among its own personnel, including its contractors. E.C. Calderon Construction Development, Inc. Environment ECCDI shall conduct its activities with minimun waste production, emissions to the atmosphere and pollution to groundwater and other water bodies. In the execution of its activities, starting from the design stage to the implementation stage up to abandonment,protection of the environment is given its due importance.

General HSSE Aspects ECCDI:
  • Evaluates all the aspects related to HSSE / SPSA before beginning a new activity.
  • Requires its contractors to follow HSSE / SPSA standards in agreement with its own.
  • Disseminates HSSE / SPSA policies and procedures to its personnel and contractors.
  • Maintains updated emergency procedures and cooperates with Authorities to minimize severity of incidents.
  • Cooperates with the Authorities in developing and improving industrial rules and standards related to HSSE / SPSA.
